Hello!

To find the distance between the two given points, the distance formula is needed.

The distance formula is: d =
\sqrt{(x_(2)-x_(1))^(2)+(y_(2)-y_(1))^(2)}.

Before substituting, you need to assign the two points to
(x_(1),y_(1)) and
(x_(2),y_(2)).

d = \sqrt{(-2 -(-5))^(2)+(4-2)^(2)}

d =\sqrt{(3)^(2)+(2)^(2)}

d =√(9 + 4)

d =√(13)

Therefore, the distance between the two points is √13 units or about 3.61 units.
