Leg 1 is 13 - 1 (which is 12)

Leg 2 is 9 - 4 (which is 5)

We can use the Pythagorean theorem to solve for the distance (hypotenuse):

12^2 + 5^2 = c^2

144 + 25 = c^2

169 = c^2

c =
√(169)

c = 13

The distance is 13 units.
