At the market 2.4 pounds of peas cost 1.68 how much does one pound of peas cost?

2.4x=1.68. x= 1pound
So to get the x away from the 2.4 you must divide. And what you do to one side of the equation you must do to the other side
2.4/2.4=1 So then you would go 1.68/2.4 to calculate the cost of one pound
