Need help, I am confused. Please explain how you get the answer.

Q = 150000 J; released energy.

Step 1: convert Jules in calories:

Q = 150000 J ÷ 4.186 J/calorie.

Q = 35833.73 calorie.

Step 2: convert calories in Calorie:

Q = 35833.73 calorie ÷ 1000 calorie/Calorie.

Q = 35.83 Calorie.
