The formula of a slope:

m=(y_2-y_1)/(x_2-x_1)

We have the points

(-3,\ -2);\ (5,\ 4)

Substitute:

m=(4-(-2))/(5-(-3))=(6)/(8)=(3)/(4)

The point slope formula:

y-y_1=m(x-x_1)

Substitute:

y-(-2)=(3)/(4)(x-(-3))\\\\y+2=(3)/(4)x+(9)/(4)\ \ \ \ |-2\\\\y=(3)/(4)x+(9)/(4)-(8)/(4)\\\\\boxed{y=(3)/(4)x+(1)/(4)}
