The correct answer is option (c) want to determine cause and effect.

The correlation is the study of two variables with respect to one another. these studies are done, when the scientist want to find the relation between two or more variables.

The experiment is done when the person doing research want to monitor the effect of the change in a particular variable. Hence, one can do experimental study to determine the cause of any phenomena and its effect.
