In 2015 in Alaska, an enormous number of walrus females and their calves gathered on a single beach. In the past, the walruses would use sea ice as a place to rest and nurse their calves, but due to human activity and global warming, large amounts of the ice have melted. Explain what consequences could happen to the walruses and their ecosystem in this situation over time.

Hello!

Over time, due to global warming, eventually their habitats will be destroyed and without a habitat, the walruses will die.

I hope it helps!

Answer:

Over time the melting of the ice will cause the extinction of this species, this because the development of the creatures will not be possible because there are no places to rest and be breastfed. These animals have sought other places to rest and breastfeed their calves, such as beaches but here the environmental conditions are not optimal for their development due to the presence of predators and much higher temperatures than they are accustomed to living.
