Given the equation, y = x - 4, what is the slope and the y-intercept?

m = 4 and b = 1/3
m = -4 and b = 1/3
m = 1/3 and b = 4
m = 1/3 and b = -4

Well it appears that my answer was nothing close to the answer key you given. The slope should be 1 as one of your answers. But what I do have in common is that the y - intercept is -4.

So your answer should be :

Slope = 1

Y - intercept = -4
