2×2 gives your 4 and 2×8 gives you 16 so than it would be 4r+16=3r+16 than minus 3r from both sides. r+16=16 minus 16 from both side giving you r=0.

2 * (2r+8) = 3r + 16
4r + 16 = 3r + 16
4r = 16 - 16
4r = 0
r = 0
