Answer:

The answer is: That the TPN supplies everything necessary for daily nutrition, while the PPN only supplies a part of them, and also needs oral intake.

Step-by-step explanation:

Total parenteral nutrition (TPN): supplies all daily nutritional requirements.

Partial parenteral nutrition: provides only part of the daily nutritional requirements, supporting oral intake.

The answer is: That the TPN supplies everything necessary for daily nutrition, while the PPN only supplies a part of them, and also needs oral intake.

The large amount of blood helps dilute the concentrated solution.

Esophagus is the tract that connect the mouth to the stomach. If the cancer obstruct the esophagus, the patient couldn't eat from enteral or oral route. Total parenteral nutrition mean that all of the food will be delivered from parenteral route. The volume and concentration of fluid that need to be given would be high, so the small vein wouldn't be enough to endure it.
