Every morning a graduate student turns on the light in the laboratory and then feeds the fish in the aquarium. I believe the answer is: Classical conditioning.

From the example above, the light is a neutral stimulus while the food acted as a biological stimulus that cause the fish to go up. After pairing the light with the food for a long period of time, the fishes would interpret that light would always mean that they would obtain food, which make them automatically go to the surface everytime they see the light.
