Answer

Photosynthesis is the process in which carbon dioxide and water combine together in the presence of sunlight and prepare glucose.

The process of photosynthesis is composed of two main chemical reactions, which are briefly explained.

1. Light reaction

It is the first chemical reaction of photosynthesis which occurs in thylakoid of chloroplast. It need light thats why known as light reaction. Raw materials use in this reaction are sunlight and water, while end product are ATP and NADH. It may be non cyclic (also known as Z-scheme) or cyclic.

2. Dark Reaction

Also known as Calvin cycle. this reaction don,t need light thats why known as dark reaction. it occurs in stroma of chloroplast. ATP and NADPH are raw material used in this process and glucose is the en.d product of this process
