Midpoint (m) = (x₁ + x₂)/2 , (y₁ + y₂)/2

= (3 - 11)/2, (-5 + 1)/2

= -8/2 , -4/2

= -4 , -2

distance (d) = √[(x₁ - x₂)² + (y₁ - y₂)²

=√ [(-4 - (-2))² + (-2 - 4)²

= √[(-2)² + (-6)²]

= √[4 + 36]

= √40

= 2√10
