A quart is a unit of measurement used to measure the volume of a liquid (how much liquid a container can contain). A quart is a quarter of a gallon and it is divided into two pints or four cups. There are three types of quarts that are been used. They include the; the dry quart of the US customary unit, the liquid quart, and the imperial quart. They are all approximately equal to one metric liter.
