Calcium is a mineral that helps the body to build strong bones and teeth. It also helps in blood clotting. Inadequate calcium intake increases the rate of bone loss (osteoporosis), and high blood pressure. Calcium is present in certain foods such as dairy products.

Jason can try to improve his calcium intake by including dairy products such as milk, yogurt, and cheese in his meals. He can also drink calcium-fortified beverages such as almond, orange juice and soy milk. Also, taking a daily supplement which may be in capsules or tablets can improve his calcium intake.
