1) 5x-2x+6-4

5(2)-2(2)+6-4 So plug in 2 for x

Solve on calculator or just distribute it out

10-4+6-4

6+6-4

12-4

8 is your answer


4) 4x-8 is the same as 2(2x-4) if you distribute this out your outcome would be 4x-8

5)

a) 2(3x+4)

6x+8

b)-4(5x+5)

-20x-20

c) -2x+2(4x+1)

Pemdas so

-2x+8x+2

6x+2


d) 5x+2(3x-4)-10

5x+6x-8-10

11x-18
