  • Slope-Intercept Form: y = mx+b, with m = slope/rate of change and b = y-intercept.

So for this to be slope-intercept form, we first have to divide both sides by 2:
y=(5)/(2)x+5

Now that it's slope-intercept form, we see that the rate of change is 5/2, or 2.5.
