What am I doing wrong?

" write an equation of each line passing through the given pointers. give answers in standard form"
a) (-1,2) and (5,7)

the answer is 5x-6y=-17

I just cant figure out where the negative in the 17 comes from. aside from that I have the right numbers.

thank you!

Im afraid I cant make out the document bu this is how to solve it:-

First find the slope of the line

slope = rise / run = (7-2) / (5- - 1) = 5/6

Now use the point-slope form of equation of a straight line:-

y - y1 = m (x - x1) where m= slope and (x1, y1) is a point on the line. Use the point (-1, 2):-

y - 2 = (5/6) (x + 1)

multiply through by 6:-

6y - 12 = 5(x + 1)

6y - 12 = 5x + 5

-12 = 5x - 6y + 5

-17 = 5x - 6y

Flipping it over:-

5x - 6y = -17

5x - 6y = -37
