\\ \text{Suppose you have a quarter of a pie, so in mathematical notation the part of }\\ \text{pie you have is}=(1)/(4)\\ \\ \text{now you cut this piece of quarter pie in half and make two equal part.}\\ \\ \text{so the fraction of the pie, that each slice would represent is:}\\ \\ =\text{Half of the quarter pie}\\ \\ =(1)/(2)\left ( (1)/(4) \right )\\ \\ =(1)/(8)

Hence the fraction of a pie that each slice represent is: 1,8
