Lila shared the cookies with her friends, it means she will have a share to.

⇒ We need to divide the quantity by 5 people.

If Lila gives the cookies to her 4 friends, it means she will not have a share

⇒ We need to divide the quantity by 4 people.

In this question, it says that she is sharing the cookies with her friends

⇒ Lila + 4 friends = 5 people

Let n be the number of people sharing.

let x be the number of cookies each person will get.

x = 36/n <===== equation

When n = 5, x = 36/5 = 7.2 cookies <=== number of cookies each will get
