To find y intercepts you have to solve for when x=0.
f(0)=2(0)^2-16
f(0)=0-16
f(0)= -16
y-intercept is (0,-16)
To find x intercepts you have to solve for when f(x)=0.
0=2x^2-16
16=2x^2
8=x^2
+or- 2sqrt(2)=x
X intercepts are (2sqrt(2),0) (-2sqrt(2),0)
