The current in an electrical conductor varies inversely as the resistance of the conductor. If the current is 30 ampere when the resistance is 600 ohms, what is the current when the resistance is 320 ohms? Round to 1 decimal place.

Answer

56.25 ampere

Step-by-step explanation

Current ⇒I

Resistance ⇒ R

I ∝ 1/R

I = k/R

k = IR

k = 30 × 600

= 18,000

I = 18,000/R

= 18,000/320

= 56.25 ampere
