I believe the answer is: Common themes are found in the art of both cultures.

For example, we found a very similar sea-themed artworks from both civilization. Which indicates that at some point of time, these two cultures develop a method to travel through the sea and conducting a cultural exchange or economic transaction with one another, and cultural assimilation also happened during the process.
