w = amount she earns for her work.

twice that is 2*w, or 2w.

6 more than that is 2w + 6.

\bf 21~~\stackrel{is}{=}~~\stackrel{\textit{twice her earnings + 6}}{2w +6}\implies 15=2w\implies \cfrac{15}{2}=w\implies 7(1)/(2)=w
