Why is it convenient to use a graph with only positive points

If there is a situation where negative points cannot apply, it is more convenient to use a graph with only positive points.

Let's take for example: weeks vs number of lawns mowed. Now with this, we cannot have negative amount of weeks and we cannot mow a negative amount of lawns. Therefore, it's the most convenient to use a graph with only positive points.
