= 2t + 2 - 6t (distributive property)

= 2 - 4t (combine like terms)

Distribute 2 to all terms within the parenthesis

2t + 2(1 - 3t)

2t + 2 - 6t

Combine like terms

2t - 6t + 2

-4t + 2

-4t + 2 is your answer
