For f(x)=−2^x , what is f(−2)?

Remark

The way this is written, the minus sign is not effected by the power (x). In order for x to affect the minus sign, you need to use brackets.

f(x) = (-2)^x Since it is not written this way, the answer will be minus

Formula

f(x) = - (2)^x

Solve

f(-2) means that x is -2 where ever you see it

f(-2) = - (2)^-2

f(-2) = -(1/2)^2

f(-2) = -(1/4) Answer
