The solution set for -18 < 5x - 3 is _____.

1.x - 6 to be positive, x must be > 6.

2. |5x - 2| > 4

5x - 2 > 4 and 5x - 2 < -4

Both the solutions are possible answers.

3. Just like #1, the absolute value must be positive.

2x + 1.5 > 0
2x > -1.5
2x > -3/2 [I prefer to use a fraction here]
x > -3/4

4. |2x + 4| < 8.

2x + 4 < 8 and 2x + 4 > -8
