Remember P.E.M.D.A.S to be able to solve the equations. We'll be using the E (exponents) and M (Multipliction)

SOLVING...

1. 2.5 x 10^4

Solve Exponent... 10^4 = 10000

Multiply... 2.5 x 10000 = 25000

2. 3.4 x 10^4

Solve Exponent... 10^4 = 10000

Multiply... 3.4 x 10000 = 34000

25000 and 34000 are your answers

The answers 5.9 x 10^4 the exponent stays the same you just add the base numbers
