A thin circular sheet of aluminum has a radius of 20 cm and a thickness of .50 mm. what is the mass of the sheet in kilogram?

Answer: 0.17 kg

First we need to find the volume of the thin cylinder made up of aluminium.

Volume of cylinder,
V= \pi r^2h\\ \Rightarrow V=3.14*0.20^2*\0.50*10^(-3)m^3=6.28*10^(-5)m^3

Density of aluminium is
\rho=2700 kg/m^3

Mass of Aluminium sheet used in making this,
M= Density * volume


\Rightarrow M=\rho* V=2700 kg/m^3 *6.28*10^(-5)m^3=0.17 kg
