Everyone would get 1.5 muffins because you have to divide 18/12 and that's what you get. Also, If everyone where to get 2 muffins or 1 muffin there would be left over or not enough and Maddie supposedly in this situation wants to get rid of them all (check your work 1.5x12=18). In her class each person would receive 0.5 of a muffin because again if she gives anymore there wont be enough for the rest of the class, or again if she gives none out well then what was the point of bringing muffins.(check your work again 18x0.5=36)
