He looked up to the stove and gave a shrug. There was a fresh batch of pancake batter gushing onto the floor. "Where did this come from" he wondered. He had a sense that it was from his neighbor who he had given a key of his house to, to water the plants while he was gone. Then he heard his dog running up to him. The dog had stuff all over his face. It looks like he got into the batter. After scooped up some of the batter on the floor, he realized it would only get tougher with the dog in the house trying to clean all of it up. So he put the dog outside. After he cleaned the carpet, it was very damp. And over time it because rough because of the batter that was deep inside the carpet.
