I really need help haha...

What is the wavelength of an earthquake wave if it has a speed of 8 km/s and a frequency of 14 Hz?

Speed = (wavelength) x (frequency)

(8 km/s) = (wavelength) x (14/s)

Divide each side by (14/s) :

Wavelength = (8 km/s) ÷ (14/s)

Wavelength = (8 km/s) x (s/14)

Wavelength = (8/14) km

Wavelength = 0.571 km or 571 m

Wavelength = wave speed (in m/s) / frequency (in Hz) so wavelength = 8000/14 = 517m (to 3 significant figures)
