Rhode Island
Rhode Island became a haven for Baptists, Quakers, Jews and other religious minorities because it allowed all its settlers to practice their religion freely without interference or oppression. The colony was founded by Roger Williams who was was a Puritan minister, English Reformed theologian, and Reformed Baptist
