The ''Fertile Crescent'' was advantageous for the development of civilizations because it was a place that allowed the people living there to have a secure food source through the agriculture alongside the very fertile shores of the Tigris and Euphrates rivers, so people had spare time to focus on other things and develop as a society instead of being on constant search for food.
Even though the ''Fertile Crescent'' is in the Middle East, it was not the civilizations from this region that spread the culture of this region worldwide, but it was the European civilizations that did that, mostly the Greek, Macedonian, and Roman civilizations through the explorations and conquests of new territories.
