Small correction, the area of a trapezoid is
A=(1)/(2)h(a+b) , not
A=12h(a+b) . So I will be solving for the prior.

Firstly, divide both sides by (a+b):
(A)/(a+b)=(1)/(2)h

Next, multiply both sides by 2 and your answer is
(2A)/(a+b)=h
