Jim probably won’t be joining us for dinner. After all, he usually calls by now, and if he hasn’t called by now, he is likely working late. And, if he isn’t working late, I bet he went to the gym.

Inductive or deductive? Is the conclusion strong (or week) or valid (or invalid)?

This paragraph is inductive as it uses individual facts and pieces of knowledge to build a general rule or conclusion. In fact, it is a strong conclusion because is backed up with strong evidence.

To conclude, the reasoning is valid as it is derived from true premises and provides a sound argument.
