Answer: h=0.6 lbs

Let the whole body weight of a mammal be w Let the weight of the heart be h It is given that the weight of the heart is 0.5% weight of the whole body weight.

\Rightarrow h=0.5 \% \hspace{1mm} of \hspace{1mm} w\\ \Rightarrow h=(0.5)/(100)* w\\ \Rightarrow h=0.005w

It is given that the weight of the human, w=120 lbs

Hence, weight of the heart,
h = 0.005*120lbs=0.6lbs
