The student put glass containers over the individual plants, and then noted the droplets of water on the inside the next morning. Based on this observation he confirmed that the plants give off water vapor. But, the student did not took into consideration the water vapors that might already have been present in the air encased inside when the lid was put on. This negates the whole experiment of the student.

Answer:

The correct answer will be- no control sample study was performed.

Step-by-step explanation:

A scientific experiment is a procedural approach performed to test the proposed hypothesis.

The experimental design must contain two types of samples: the experimental samples on which the variable to be tested (dependent variable) is included and the control samples in which the dependent variable is not included.

In the given question, the student prepared the experimental samples as the fifty samples were kept overnight by covering them with glass containers but he forgot to prepare the pot without container.

Thus, no control sample study was performed is the correct answer.
