The processes in this context refer to the functions or activities the manager performs in order to conduct functional tasks. For example, if an accounting manager wants other managers to adhereto a new tax code in recording entertainment expenses, the manager might have to use influence processes. If the manager is performing discipline-related tasks, the manager is doing content work. In contrast, if the manager is dealing with howto get things done, the manager is dealing with processes. Organizational behavior deals with how things get done, unless the disciplines in question is organizational behavior.
