First factor 2x² - x - 6 to get (2x +3)(x - 2)

Then place f(x) in the numerator and g(x) in the denominator.

(2x + 3)(x-2)

(x + 2)(x-2)

Cancel out (x-2) in the numerator and denominator

Then your answer will be (2x + 3)/(x + 2)
