Although you love to watch TV, you have made a goal to spend more time outdoors. You decide that you will spend 2 times as many hours outdoors as you spend watching TV. Write an equation for the number of hours you will spend outdoors, o, when you spend t hours watching TV. Last week, you watched 4 hours of TV. This week, you watched 8 hours of TV. Place points on the graph to show your activity for last week and this week.

Answer:

Explanation:

You decide that you will spend 2 times as many hours outdoors as you spend watching TV.

Let the hours spent outdoors be = o

Let the time spent on watching tv be = t

So, general equation becomes
o=2t

Last week, you watched 4 hours of TV. This week, you watched 8 hours of TV.

When t = 4

o = 2(4) = 8 hours

When t = 8

o = 2(8) = 16 hours

We have been asked to place points on the graph to show your activity for last week and this week.

Please find attached the points display.
