Jonathan Edwards and George Whitefield are both Preachers and Congregationalists and their main goal is to gather and will catch the attention of masses during preaching. Their preaching style both decreases their audiences to tears with their booming and flourishing theatrical sermons, they used realistic images that brings great impacts to the hearts and emotions of their congregations.

Answer: Whitefield had a powerful, passionate style, while Edwards spoke to his parishioners calmly and quietly.

Step-by-step explanation:

During the Great Awakening, George Whitefield, a very prosperous preacher from the English Methodist movement, gathered immense crowds with his emotional speeches that provoked extremely emotional responses and massive conversions. He had a charismatic and theatrical style, often shouting and trembling during his speeches. In comparison, Jonathan Edwards addressed his congregation in a relatively calm way, although using the preaching of terror at times.
