-They had a well-developed agricultural system: this is how the adapted and survived to the floods from the Nile River.
-They raised domesticated animals: dogs, cats and monkeys are among the most loved animals by the ancient Egyptians. Once the animals passed away, the egyptians mummified them and buried them with their owners.

The tools used in ancient Egypt can't be considered "early forms". Initially they were made of stone, later bronze, copper and iron. Their tools were very advanced, that's how it was possible for them to build the pyramids.
