  • Slope Formula:
    (y_2-y_1)/(x_2-x_1)
  • Slope-Intercept form:
    y=mx+b , with m = slope and b = y-intercept.

So firstly, we have to find the slope. Looking on this line, we see that two points that are on this line are (0,3) and (4,0). Plug them into the slope formula and solve as such:

(0-3)/(4-0)=-(3)/(4)

Now we know that the slope is -3/4. Now looking for the y-intercept, we see that it has been provided for us. The y-intercept is (0,3).

Putting our equation together, it is
y=-(3)/(4)x+3
