Use distributive property: a(b + c) = ab + ac

$10(x-5)=9(x+5)\\\\(10)(x)+(10)(-5)=(9)(x)+(9)(5)\\\\10x-50=9x+45\ \ \ \ |+50\\\\10x=9x+95\ \ \ \ |-9x\\\\\boxed{x=95}$
