85 bottles are needed to make enough fiberfill for 1 sleeping bag. The amount of bottles needed = The amount for one sleeping bag * the amount of sleeping bags being made. Example. (B is bottles needed in total) The equation to make 2 sleeping bags is B = 85 * 2 85 * 2 = 170. The bottles needed to make two sleeping bags is 170. The equation to solve for B is B = 85s.

B = 85s is the equation.

b.

Take the equation from earlier and replace s with the different numbers of sleeping bags.

B = 85(20) 85 * 20 = 1,700 In order to make 20 sleeping bags, you would need 1,700 bottles

B = 85(50) 85 * 50 = 4,250 For 50 sleeping bags, you would need 4,250 bottles

B = 85(325) 85 * 325 = 27,625 For 325 sleeping bags, you would need 27,625.

If you need to check your work, you can take the answer you got and fill it in for B and solve for s.

Example.

1,700 = 85s Divide both sides by 85 1,700/85 = s 1,700/85 = 20 20 = s
