Please give a proper explanation of this question. I don't understand how to answer it! (Doing some practice problems and they make no sense, the videos are really bad)

When you write a line in the
y=mx+q,
m is the slope of the line, and
q is the y-intercept, i.e. the y coordinate of the point
(0,y) belonging to the line.

The line passes through the point
(0,2), so
q=2. As for the slope, we consider two points belonging to the line, and compute the following ratio:

m = (\Delta y)/(\Delta x) = (y_2-y_1)/(x_2-x_1)

The two highlighted points are
(1,3) and
(4,6)

So, the slope is

m = (\Delta y)/(\Delta x) = (y_2-y_1)/(x_2-x_1) = (6-3)/(4-1) = 1

The equation is thus
y=x+2
