first find the difference of the numerator. to do this multiply 1/x by 2 and 1/2 by x. you should get (2-x)/2x. now moving on to the whole fraction. then multiply the (2-x)/2x by 2x and the (x-2) by 2x. you should get (2-x)/(2x)(x-2). now factor out a negative from the (x-2) at the denominator to get -(2-x). so now you can cancel the (2-x) from the numerator and denominator! the answer will be 1/-2x! :)
