Why was Japan was so successful in expanding its territory in 1942? It negotiated treaties that gave it influence over nearby nations. It had a large military force despite poor training and equipment. It did not have to fight the majority of US forces. It enjoyed popular support in US territories in the South Pacific.

The reason Japan was so successful in expanding its territory in 1942 was because: C) It did not have to fight the majority of US forces. After the attack on pearl harbor the US Navy was dealt a big blow. This allowed the Japanese to expand its territory in 1942 with relative ease because they were not fighting the majority of the US forces.
